DFI Interiors reimagined this Newton, MA home to give it the warmth, personality and sense of coziness the homeowner felt it was missing—without starting over or replacing the pieces she already loved.

Working with many of the home’s existing furnishings, we developed a cohesive interior design through expressive color, bold wallpaper, custom window treatments, rugs, decorative lighting, artwork and carefully selected accessories. New furniture was introduced selectively, only where it added function or strengthened the overall composition.

By layering color, pattern, texture and personal details, previously neutral spaces became warm, inviting and full of character. Each room was given its own identity while remaining connected to the home as a whole. The result feels collected rather than newly furnished—a colorful, polished and deeply personal home that demonstrates how thoughtful interior design can create a dramatic transformation while embracing much of what a homeowner already owns.
